Located close to Kathmandu along the Tribhuvan Highway is Trishuli river. Trishuli River probably offers moderate rafting experience, so it is ideally suited for families. The river is graded 1-3 scale.
The river offers beautiful sceneries of surround hills, forests and wildlife. The river contains gentle flow with few rapids and holes in between. One will have ample time to take in the beauty of the surroundings and take photographs while paddling along.
The river has sunny sandy beaches, calm water and greenery all around. Rafting in Trisuli is perfect during Autumn and Spring seasons, though monsoon is also appropriate when the water level and volume is higher. Single and multiple day trips are possible on Trisuli with choices to raft down all the way to Chitwan National Park.

Day 1
Drive from Kathmandu to Charaundi which takes about two and half hours.
Drive from Kathmandu to Charaundi which takes about two and half hours. You set out for your journey early morning to Charaundi. Herein, you will be briefed by an experienced guide about general information regarding the trip before you set out for rafting. You can decide whether to take lunch before or after the rafting. Your rafting will end at Kurintar after 3 hours.
Stay overnight at camp or resort.
Day 2
Rafting from Kurintar to Gaighat.
Rafting from Kurintar to Gaighat. It can be best classified as having 2 to 3 grades according to the rapids you encounter. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Kathmandu.
