Short Bhutan Trip is indeed one of the shortest city tours of Bhutan- the kingdom of Dragon. The highlights of this tour include visit to the three major cities of Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro and Punakha. Each of these cities presents a myriad of attractions for travelers. You will visit National Museum, Rimpung Dzong, Punakha Dzong, Chime Lakhang, Drup Lhakang nunnery, Drukgyal monastery among others. The crossing of Dochu La pass while going from Punakha to Thimphu will provide you spectacular views of Himalayan peaks including Bhutan’s highest Mt. Jhomolhari (7314m). This tour also includes one day full sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley in Nepal.
You will have opportunity to visit some farm houses and intermingle with the local and experience the rural life. Thimpu is the capital city of the little kingdom of Bhutan. Besides Dzongs and administrative centers, you will also visit the museums, arts school, libraries and textile emporiums which give you an insight to the Bhutanese culture and custom. If you are in Thimpu during week-ends, visiting local market is highly advised as there are many local textiles, vegetables, fruits, etc which can be included in the shopping list.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Meet our airport representative and transport to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 2
Early morning breakfast followed by a full day sightseeing in Kathmandu, visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swoyambhunath temple.

Day 3
Fly from Kathmandu to Paro. Arrive at Paro and meet our airport representative.
Transfer to the hotel and after lunch sightseeing in Paro which includes National museum, Kyichu Temple and Rimpung Dzong. Stay overnight at hotel in Paro.
Day 4
Drive from Paro to Punakha takes about 5 hours.
Cross the Chuzom Bridge, visit Punakha Dzong and Chime Lhakhang. Stay overnight at hotel in Punakha.
Day 5
Drive from Punakha to Thimphu takes about 4 hours.
After breakfast drive to Dochula pass to view the Himalayan Mountain, you will see mountain peak if the weather is clear and stop for the lunch at Dochula with view point. After lunch visit Changangkha Temple, Drupthob monastery, Tashichoeling Dzong and the Folk heritage museum and Traditional hospital, then visit the Handicrafts Emporium. Stay overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
Day 6
Drive from Thimphu to Paro takes about 4 hours.
After breakfast drive to Paro and hike to Tiger Nest (Taktsang). Then visit the Drukgyal Dzong, built in 1647 by the Great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, father and unifier of medieval Bhutan. Explore the ramparts and on a clear day experience an unforgettable view of Mt. Jhomolhari (7,314 m). Visit the National Memorial Chorten (1974) built in honor of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Up next is Dupthop Lhakhang one of the few surviving nunneries in Bhutan. Drive to Mini Zoo where Takin, the national animal of Bhutan can be seen. Stay overnight at hotel in Paro.
Day 7
After the breakfast drive to Paro airport and depart to your destination. Fly from Paro to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel.
