Bhotekoshi River is perhaps one of world’s best rivers for rafting. The starting point of Bhotekoshi River is Borderland Resort, near Nepal-Tibet border, just about 3 to 4 hours of drive from Kathmandu.   

 

The river has magnificent setting of Himalayas and nature as its backdrop. Those with love for nature and wildlife would love to raft down this beautiful river.

Bhotekoshi is a technically challenging river with powerful waves, big holes and fast rapids. It is graded on 4-5 scale, which makes up for its popularity. This river is more suitable for experienced rafters who would like to get that extra adrenaline.

 

Day long rafting trips are organized in Bhotekoshi. But the experience is so power-packed that one will relish every bend, wave and paddling.

Day 1

Early morning you will drive from Kathmandu to Baseri which is the starting point of rafting.

After lunch there will be a briefing by your guide on the safety measures and nature of rafting on the Bhote Koshi. This day you will encounter only with class III rapids as prepare for the next day's real adventure.

 

You camp for the night.

Day 2

Rafting Continues

This is an adventurous day as you are facing a challenging rapids of class V such as "frog on the blinder", "midnight express”,” wall", "cave", etc. Along with this you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and lifestyle of ethnic Nepali communities. Drive back to Kathmandu in the evening.
