Kailash Yatra Tour is definitely the most sacred and sought after tour in the Himalayas. The tour is an arduous and adventurous journey that takes you to Mt. Kailash or Mt. Gang Rimpoche, the most auspicious mountain in Tibet, which is regarded as the source of water for South Asia.
The tour starts with a flight to Nepalgunj, a vibrant city located near the India-Nepal border in the southwestern part of Nepal. From there you will climb a connecting flight to Simikot. Simikot is the district headquarters of Humla district and is located in remote western region of Nepal.
From Simikot, you will trek for five days to reach Hilsa, on the border between Nepal and China-Tibet. Once in Hilsa, you will drive to Mansarovar, highest fresh water in the world and make a kora of Mt. Kailaish which will take a total of three day. Enroute you will cross the Drolma La pass (5636m), the highest pass in the world. Eventually you will drive back to Kathmandu via Nylam and Zang Mu crossing Kodari border along Nepal and China-Tibet.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Kathmandu (1300 m)
Upon your arrival to Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu. Nexus Travels & Tours’ representative will address and escort you to the hotel for check-in.

Day 2
Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa
On your arrival to Lhasa, a cultural city of Tibet, our representative on Tibet part will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. You can refresh and take the day rest effortlessly as you can adjust to the altitude easier and quicker. You are suggested to drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep for making an adjustment to the proposed tour ahead.

Day 3
Sightseeing in Lhasa
Today you will be visiting Lhasa including Potala Palace which is the oldest palace of Dalai Lama, the first Buddist's temple of Tibet; Norbulingka Palace.

Day 4
Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse (3900)
On your ride today you will come across the capital of a province of Tsang, Shigatse, residence Panchen Lama - the second priest of Tibet. Early in the morning you will take an excursion in a monastery of Tashilhunpo (it is based on 1447), visit temple of the Buddha of the future - Maytreya and also other temples of a monastery.

Day 5
Drive Shigatse - Saga- /4450m 250 Km
The journey today takes you over two high passes of more than 5000m with exceptional views. Driving the day the drive will be over the sandy and rocky land of Tibet. You will come across other things like lake, nomads chasing thousands of yaks and sheeps which will keep you busy. By the overdue afternoon, you will cross over the Bhramha Purtra Riverway to the typical Chinese and Tibetan town Saga.

Day 6
Drive to Manasarover via Paryang (4558m) 277km 8 hours
The day starts with bursting excitement, by the late afternoon you will enclose the first sight of the Holy Kailash Parbat and Manasarovara.

Day 7
Exploration of Lake Manasarovar and drive to Tarchen (14975ft) 40km
Manasarovar is the lake of empathy, tranquility and bliss. After finishing the memorable morning Bath and Puja you will be heading towards Tarchen. It is observed as a base camp for the Holy Kailash Parikrama (tour).

Day 8
Kailash Parikrama, drive to the Valley of the God and trek to Derapuk/4909m
It is one of the most exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs, waterfalls with some clouds in the clear blue sky. The atmosphere will make you feel that Great God Shiva is everywhere with plenty of blessing to you. Time again the face of Kailash Parbat will keep appearing. The trail of about 15 km takes almost 6 hrs but you won’t be bored rigid as the trail you walk through is full of surprises.

Day 9
Trek to Juthulpuk through crossing Dolma La pass (5613m)
The trail today is strenuous but this is the holiest day of your pilgrimage tour with Dolma-La (pass) of 18600ft between two valleys. Yamasthal should be crossed to arrive at the Shiva-sthal while your steps get closer to the pass. Once you reach the top, you can perform some holiest offering and sit down for meditation to overlook yourself and feel the difference. Once you descend you will come across Parvati-stal and Gauri Kunda which are spectacular with its own beauty and charisma. You will arrive Zuthal Puk (the cave of Miracles) by the late afternoon.

Day 10
Finish Kailash Parikrama and drive back to Saga
After walking through extravagant trail for approximately 3 hours, all the driving squad will be waiting for you. You will reach Saga by the late afternoon.

Day 11
Drive back from Saga to Shigatse:
Today you will take easy driving back to Shigatse town which is second biggest town of Tibet. Upon your arrival at Shigatse you can get refreshed and take a late afternoon walking tour.

Day 12
Drive from Shigatse to Lhasa.
You will continue the drive to Lhasa city and transfer to Hotel. Prepare your bag for flight back to Kathmandu tomorrow.

Day 13
Fly back from Lhasa to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Early in the morning you drive to Gonggar Airport from Lhasa. The distance is about 90 km and the drive will take approximately 2 hours. Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport Nexus Travels & Tours representative will receive you and escort you to your hotel. You can stroll around Thamel later this night and procure some souvenirs for your loved ones back home.

Final Departure to Home or your next preferred destination
