Some of the recent geographical transformation on earth occurred in this region including the formation of the Himalayas. Himalayas is a cradle of unique biodiversity and culture which is yet to be explored further for human knowledge and growth. Students in particular will have so much to learn from the art, architecture and culture and discover on their own the riches of Nepali history.

 

Four cultural and natural World Heritage Sites of Nepal has been inducted in UNSECO World Heritage Sites list. Nepal has over 20 protected areas, 2 ecological hotspots and is home to thousands of Himalayan peaks. Chitwan National Park, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Annapurna Conservation Area are world renowned for their diverse ecology. Nepal is also the origin of Buddhist and Hindu philosophies.  Lumbini (the birth place of Gautam Buddha), Swyambhu, Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath and Muktinath are some of the important religious shrines in Nepal.

 

As part of Study tour, you will visit Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara but also indulge in adventure activities such as white water rafting, bungee, paragliding, bicycling and countless other actions.

Day 1

Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport (Kathmandu):

Upon you arrival to Kathmandu airport Nexus Travels & Tours airport representative will receive you and transfer you to hotel by a private Vehicle. Our tour guide will explain about your program in evening time. Stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 2

Sightseeing in Kathmandu UNESCO world heritage sites:

Today, after breakfast you will visit main attraction of Kathmandu valley which are listed in world Heritage site such as Swyambhunth (The Monkey Temple), Bouddhanath Stupa (World biggest Buddhist Stupa), Kathmandu Durbar Square (Ancient palaces of Malla kings old Kathmandu) and evening visit Pashupathinath temple and transfer to Hotel.

 

Swayambhunath Stupa the holiest Buddhist shrine in Nepal, is located approximately 4 kilometers. The Stupa is estimated about 2000 years old and is formed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.

  

Boudhanath Stupa situated 8 kilometers east of Kathmandu city, is one of the biggest Buddhist stupas in the world. The white washed dome is built with clay and brick which rests on an octagonal base which is festooned with prayer wheels in all direction. The shrine is encircled by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest. The stupa is believed to have been in existence for over two centuries.

 

Kathmandu Durbar Square is a World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal. Clustered around the Square are the old Royal Palace (Hanuman Dhoka), numerous interesting temples, Kumari Bahal (House of the Living Goddess) and Kasthamandap (Wooden House). The statues, woodcraft, courtyards and palace architecture in Kathmandu Durbar Square reflects finest examples of Nepal’s art and architecture.

 

Pashupatinath: Situated 5 kilometers east from the center of Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in pagoda style has jilted roof and richly-carved silver doors. Visitors are permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River, as entrance into the temple is strictly forbidden to all non-Hindus! Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February.

Day 3

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara:

Depart from the beautiful city of Kathmandu behind, and proceed towards next amazing city Pokhara. The city of lakes, Pokhara has a lot to offer. The beautiful sunrise from Sarangkot is unmatched, as well as the perfect ride around the lakes. Make yourself relaxing and loosen up at Pokhara. The 7-hour drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara may leave you tired.

 

Stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 4

Sightseeing in and around Pokhara city:

Early morning drive to Sarangkot hill for the panoramic views of surrounding Himalayas and sunrise. After enjoying the view you will drive back to your hotel for breakfast and prime yourself for visiting the other interesting destinations of Pokhara.

 

Bindabashini Temple: Bindabashini is also one of the most popular temples in Pokhara. The temple is devoted to goddess Bhagwati, another expression of Shakti. It is believed that Bindabashini is the mother goddess who fulfills the wishes of her devotees.

 

Barahi Temple: The Barahi temple is the most important testimonial in Pokhara. Built almost in the center of Phewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to the boar sign of' Ajima, the protesters deity representing- the female force Shakti. Devotees can be glimpse, especially on Saturdays, carrying male animals and fowl across the lake to be sacrificed to the deity.

 

Seti Gorge: Another of Pokhara's natural wonders that unfailingly interests visitors is the Seti Gandaki River. River flowing right through the city, the energetic river runs completely underground at places. Amazingly, at certain points the river appears hardly two meters wide. But its depth is quite outside imagination over 20 meters! It provides a perfect view of the river's dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by its powerful flow.

 

Devi's fall: The fall is locally known as the Patale Chhango (Hell's fall). Devi's fall (also known as Devin's and David's) is a lovely waterfall situated about 2km south-west of the Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Legend says that a trekker (Devin, David.) was washed away by the Pardi Khola and mysteriously disappeared down into the underground passage beneath the fall.

 

Gupteswar Cave: Another cave famous for its religious importance situated in the southern end of the city, Chorepatan. This cave is a sacred and natural cave and has a temple of Load Shiva inside it.

Day 5

Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan - Chitwan National Park activities:

Early morning after your breakfast you will start your drive towards Chitwan which take the 5 hrs driving into the mountains. After checking in to the hotel and getting refreshed you will be briefed about full nature programs by our nature guide. Then we head on for activities. There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening you will enjoy dinner with cultural program by ethnic tribal people with their stick dance and tribal drums.

Day 6

Full day Chitwan Jungle safari activities:

Chitwan National Park The Chitwan National Park has been declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Today you will discover why the National Park holds an important place in preserving the wild lives that are rapidly getting extinct from this planet. The activities you will participate in Jungle Safari activities are Elephant Safari, Colorful Tharu Village Visit, Nature or Jungle Walk, Cannoning trip, Tharu Stick Dance and many more.

Day 7

Drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu:

After breakfast you will drive to Kathmandu which is 156 Kms and it can take 5 hours. During the drive, you can enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life actions. As you ascend from Naubishe till Thankot, you enter the gateway to the capital city Kathmandu.

Day 8

Transfer to airport for your final departure:

As per your flight schedule, our airport representative will transfer you from your hotel to the airport for your final departure.
